I started my film career as a film trainer, teaching film theory and practice to schools and teachers. This lead me on to working as a trainer on film projects with diverse community groups. I've designed and delivered training for Northern Ireland Screen, Into Film, The Nerve Centre, BFI, Community Arts Partnership, Queen's University and many others. I'm experienced at working with marginalised groups, particularly around mental health. I've worked with asylum seekers, minority groups, youth at risk, homeless groups, SEN etc.
